I went over to the 1800's home site that I got permission from a few weeks back. Since the white stuff is all melted and the ground is mostly thawed I figured I better give it a try. Here is the house.

I got some interesting relics, and one ring but no old coins yet. I was hoping the old brass tag had writting but no go.

My best find you can see in the pic above. It is a solid brass 12 ga shell that was pushed into a solid brass 10 ga shell. These are hard to find and I got two in one hole! I have to check but likely late 1800's.

Don't know about years ago during the brass shell times - but modern hunters frequently put 2 shells together to hold matches & such. You dug a variety of goods. I'm heading out tomorrow morn for my last hunt of the year, steve in so az

Great going, Mike, and glad you could detect and find something! The shells and the ring are nice! You'll probably do better when you have more time and the ground isn't so muddy from all the melting snow! I would have liked to go out today, but I had a really bad headache all day yesterday and woke up with it again today, so even with the beautiful warm and sunshiny day, I just could not get out and push myself to go MD'ing, as I get too weak when trying to do anything. (I get out of breath too quickly) Supposed to drop in temp this afternoon and be colder tomorrow! Weather goes up and down like a see-saw! Hope your cabin fever is better? :) God Bless! Betty
