Every time I pop a pull tab out of the ground I think of a gold ring or gold coin keeps me going! HHH.

Like all of you, I've dug my share of old and new style pull-tabs. And speaking of pull-tabs, one of the features I love about my Minelab X-terra 505 is the ability to know what's in the ground before I dig it up (most of the time). Everything has a number and, even though gold and pull-tabs may overlap, gen- erally speaking I can tell the differene between gold and a pull tab by not only watching the meter but by listening to the sounds. I don't dig man pull-tabs anymore.

We had a hands on deal at the club one night where you could run you detector over gold coins. Some might thing that all gold coins fall in the pull tab range. Not true.
$1 = nickel range
$2.5 = pull tab range
$5 = High pull tab almost an Indian head penny range
$10 = zinc penny range
$20 = Coin range

When I first started way back when I would save every pultab and at the end of the year I would cash in abput 20 - 30 lbs of those blasted things. Do you know how many of those suckers you need to make just ONE pound. WOOOOOOOW. !!!!! Now multiply that by 30 and you get a good idea regarding Persistence. It always paid off in the end though. That was my reward from God for it. Thanks. PEACE:RONB :pulltab: :super:

Pull tabs often seem to be scratchy, but so did the last Buffalo & V nickel combo. So I dig pull tabs. They also IDed at 18 with the Xterra.

I have really come to enjoy digging pull tabs. I just go slow and dig them. It is always a pleasant surprise when it is not a pull tab but when it is I just take it and go.

I have never found a gold coin. I have however shared in two peoples excitement when they did. I have however dug a few nice gold rings.

zincoln and a 20.00 gold coin gave an overload signal. To be fair the 20.00 gold coin was only a few inches down
