McDonald's....is now going to actively support the Gay Rights agenda...

The only problem I have with not going there, is that it might affect a mother or father that might work there as a 2nd job that is just trying to get by. You have to remember, yes the corporate might support this or that, but at the local store level, the employees don't care, they just want to get a paycheck. It's like the devil created a "catch 22" with the situation... I'm just thinking out loud, please don't take offence...

Well I was going to let this alone, but sorry, I just can't! It seems that "kdc" is more concerned about the economy and peoples jobs over the spiritual impact this will reflect on our young people who work there as well as our toddlers who are there amongst these workers. I don't want to offend anyone either and I don't think it is fair for kdc to twice now make this particular issue bigger than it is. Why bring up the Government and other Fortune 500 companies? I am sure it isn't intentional but you are giving the impression that it is so big and so many others are doing it, why bother with McDonalds. This post is about McDonalds, a company that was started as a family business and targets our littles ones as their main consumer knowing that a lot of Mom's and Dad's will give in to the call from the back seat, "McDonalds!" I believe parents are at fault here to, I wasn't a perfect parent, I turned the blinker on and got them their "Fench Fies"! But now the stakes have changed. Sure there are many others doing the same thing, but this is a new development that Pete just brought to our attention (praise the Lord!). Shouldn't we all be outraged? Shouldn't we all voice our concern and let them know we will never again bring our children to a facility that endorses such vile behavior and practices? kdc we don't need "torches and pitch forks", we just need a firm voice to protect our little ones and a peaceful boycott of McDonalds will accomplish a lot as well as sharing with others in love how we feel. Have you considered that the very people they are now endorsing will flock there for employment? Do you really want someone living that lifestyle cooking and handling your food? Or better yet a childs food? I think some of us here are missing an important point. Jobs, the economy, and employment are material things that are temporary with a temporary impact, surrounding our young folks with this public endorsement can have an ETERNAL effect as well as impact our young ones now. Does everyone here reading this know what, "LGBT" stands for? Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender/Transsexual people! <br> God took it seriously with Sodom and Gomorrah in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. I have posted Romans 1:24-32 below. PLEASE read it carefully with prayer for understanding then think about what the Word says about these type people who will be serving our little ones! I highlighted a few words that really concern me but gave the whole context! <p>"Wherefore God also gave them up to <font color=red>uncleanness</font> through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto <font color=red>vile affections</font>: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a <font color=red>reprobate mind</font>, to do those things which are not convenient; <font color=red>Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,</font> Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, <font color=red>not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them</font>." <p>Let me end with this, I believe we should love everyone, yes, everyone! God does and went to the cross for ALL of us. We certainly need to pray for the people who live ungodly lives and hope that they can peek through the darkness long enough to see our loving God and understand that He died for them to. But we certainly must keep their dark influence away from us and our children at any cost. Our treasure is in Heaven, lets all pray that the Lord will provide jobs for those that may be affected by this outrageous endorsement of the things that God hates and we should to if we are to be Christlike. Hate the sin, but love the sinner! kdc, I hope you can understand my perspective, I believe it is Biblical and worthy to consider. I ask everyone to e-mail Greta Van Susteren at Fox news and bring proper media attention to this situation. If it remains silent, many will be at risk. A post above has her e-mail address. May God bless us all, Tim

God to help them to see the truth and in someway come to the light of His Holy Word, the Bible! I haven't eaten out for a long time, because of the many diseases, salmonella, and etc that are prevalent now because of uncleanliness and unwashed hands and not living for Jesus in their daily lives!

Thank you, Pete, for your post as I really appreciate you bringing what is happening with McDonald's before us. I had been rec info from AFA for a long time, but when I didn't have a Computer for so long and then I changed my email address, I didn't get their info any longer. I voted for and against many things that affected our lives in both the good and the bad. I do not believe in spending money on the companies that are promoting Homosexuality and other horrible sins and sicknesses in minds and bodies!
So, if we know where they stand and aren't remaining neutral in their business decisions I will not be a partaker of their business! I voted and gave my new email address, so I will probably be getting all their information now! I have given to their work for the Lord and have watched them accomplish a lot for Christians and others who need help in overcoming many things charged against them! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus! Your will be done in all things and in all our lives!

Those who are godly are now being forced to hire homosexuals or rent rooms to them! This is wrong, as a Christian should be able to not have to hire or rent to those who are ungodly or even those who would cause trouble, be noisy or wreck a place whether a homosexual or not!

Well, that's my opinion and thanks again Pete, Tim and others who have posted what is true from those who keep track of what's going on with these sinful organizations!

God Bless us and I pray: Save those who will be saved, and then Come quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen!

Thank you Betty! Appreciate the post. The Lord used a man who was well learned in the Word as a tool to lead me to His saving grace. I had many questions back then as I had been mis-lead so many times. This man could probably quote the New Testament word for word without opening a page. When the Lord called him home back in 96 I'll never forget the memorial for him. The pastor held up this mans Bible, it was worn and tattered, and you could see the pages, page after page worn, underlined, etc. And believe me, this wasn't his first Bible! What an impact that had on me, and I'm sure many others. Anyway, each time I came to him with a question he would say, "Tim, open your Bible to..." He always had a Biblical answer and was ground in God's Word. Then he would tell me to read to him what the verse says. Sure enough, there was the answer in God's Holy Word. I still have a lot to learn, but I know where to go for the answer! Thanks again, Tim

Your welcome, Tim! I too know where to go for answers by asking God thru His Holy Spirit to reveal His truth in any scripture that I don't understand. He has shown me many things through dreams He gives me, visions and many other ways! While going through a divorce, He always warned me when I was going to see my ex and sure enough I would, so giving me warning ahead of time sure helped me in the trial of the divorce and etc.

When God wants to reveal something important to us that we need to know, He will confirm it 3 times in different ways! Therefore, I wait upon the Lord, and get His Holy Spirit's guidance before going off on my own in my flesh! God knows best and (boy) do I know that now! :) Thank You,Lord!

God Bless!
Betty

P.S. I quoted RO 8:28 wrong.....my memory doesn't always remember very well! It should have read: All things work together for the good for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose! Sometimes I remember correctly and other times I don't! Seems to be a problem now that I'm in my 70's!

2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Thank God for His Word! Amen

Hi Tim, but this was never about you and i disagreeing.its about stating the fact that many Christians are hypocritical and have zeal, but do very little thinking before they act. you want to be so holy than hit all those organizations not just the ones that make the news. you are so worried about your kids, than my question is who is educating them the NEA. I'm sorry but i have been down this path all too much, and in Salem it was witch burning. i think you should read the example Jesus set and try more to act like Jesus did. my question is which car are you driving, let me just say it doesn't matter which one, that automotive maker is supporting gay rights. but be holy, divest yourself of that, so you will not be a parter of someone else's evil. what brand of food are you purchasing, do you know you are supporting gay rights. i will say stop buying food, you don't want to be guilty of supporting such things. you cannot hide your kids from the world, but you can teach them the right way to go. don't blame society on the way kids are blame the parents who are not being the example and teaching the right way. i got news, this is not heaven this is earth, and right now the devil is still the prince of this world. and about your comment that I'm more worried about economics than holiness, just go to prove my point about many Christians acting and speaking before they think. you do not know me sir nor do you have any ideal what my hearts drive is. not only am i a teacher of the word but i also am a minister of the word. i have been in this walk for some time. long enough to see all the stupid movements come and go through the churches. matter of fact they cycle. now to what i said, yes Md's is supporting gay rights, that makes them responsible, but don't just throw the Innocent aside like the ends justifies the means because it does not. never should the innocent be hurt. and yes lets look at Sodom and Gomorrah, when Abraham got done talking with god, if there would have been just 10 that were righteous than he would have spared them cities, but i know its not convenient to read on. look at the story of Jonah. and the lady they brought before Jesus to stone her to death, what did Jesus do. and many more in the bible, and my point is, I'm glad it is god who judges me and not some of you, for god is far more merciful and patient. i wonder when Walt Disney decided to support the same thing, oh i don't know some 15 to 20 years ago. did you still watch movies that where produced under their corporate names. i have already wasted enough time disputing, i general never do that, i will not reply to anything more to do with this subject. Do what you will !

Dear KDC, It was not my intention to offend you or anybody else here and I am sorry that you took offense, again that was not my intent. My intent is to encourage Christians to address THIS issue that was JUST posted here about McDonalds and not about the others that you added to this thread. The post wasn't about anyone else doing the same thing, it was about McDonalds. This is now the third time you have replied to this post to make it seem so large there is nothing that any of us can do, now you added our kids education, cars, and Disney etc. That is where I take issue with your opinion and position, I do so in love, not as an enemy but as a brother in the Lord. We can certainly address the other issues if it need be but lets stick to this post and address this NEW developement. As far as the comparison with Sodom and Gomorrah and using scripture, (Romans 1:24-32), to make my point, that was to clearly show that God takes this issue VERY seriously, (again, Old & New Testament!), and so should we. I don't believe it was fair for you to assume that I am not aware of the context or that, "but i know its not convenient to read on.", I have read on and I am familiar with the passage. I nor anyone else here was calling on God to destroy McDonalds with fire and brimstone and destroy the cities, towns, etc. where a McDonalds is located. Again sticking with the original post, are you comfortable with Christians supporting McDonalds in light of this NEW development that has come to light? Would it make us all hypocrites for joining together as brothers and sisters in the Lord to hold back our financial contributions to McDonalds after learning of this new development stating they are using their funds for such ungodly causes? You said above, "...its about stating the fact that many Christians are hypocritical...", the fact is you actually don't know if any of us fit YOUR thought pattern although it appears you believe we might. Aren't you also assuming everyone here is aware of all the others you claim are supporting the same thing? I certainly won't group everyone together to try and validate my point or opinion. I must also admit I am very disappointed to learn that a "teacher" and "minister of the word" suggests that it is a "stupid movement" for me to call on the body of Christ to oppose the ungodly support of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals, (LGBT), and the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)! <br>On a personal note I will address your Disney concerns and "my kids" for you although I don't feel obligated I want to assure you that I try and practice what I believe to be scriptual although I am sure I fall short at times. One is that my wife and I had an expense paid trip to Disney but being aware of their position we did not go, nor would we allow our children to go. You may have known the Lord longer than I have, I know not, but, we home schooled our children for quite some time as well as had them in private Christian schools. We also taught them about the dangers of the world in which I find it hard for any parent to hide them from but tried to adhere to Proverbs 22:6 <font color=red>"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."</font> You said above I should try "...and act more like Jesus did.", I believe that is what I am doing. Jesus taught us in His holy word, 2 Corinthians 6:13-18 ~ <font color=red>"Now for a recompence in the same, I speak as unto my children, be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."</font> <br>Please consider that I encouraged everyone here to pray for and love everyone in my other post and point out that many young people and children can be affected by this new situation and would be at risk, eternally. You say, "...don't blame society on the way kids are blame the parents..". Wouldn't it be a great example for the kids to learn and see by our example why we chose another place to eat? And last, why not share with us maybe in another thread of what steps we might be able to take as Christians to deal with other situations that should be addressed by the body of Christ as many of us may not be aware of some of the others? You say you are a, "minister of the word", what verse's do use to those you teach to address these issues? May God bless us all with understanding of His holy will as we consider these things. Tim

HI Tim, my post was not to make things look bigger than they really are, it was to get people to think about what they are doing before they do it. it is great to have zeal, and resolve, but these things must be tempered with love and wisdom. the stupid movements I'm referring to are those that fit the fancy of the people, one day its holiness, another its prosperity, and yet another its sensationalism. and so on and so on. never is it a balanced lifestyle, always one extreme to another, taking bits and pieces here and there. but never fully understanding any of them. personally i think we should let Md's know how we feel and believe, on this matter, but i also think we should use wisdom. throughout history Christians have done this and the only thing it has manage to do, is shut the ears of the people who we would have otherwise witnessed to. i think the ones that are planning on doing this or done it should have prayed about it first, its to easy to hop on the band waggon, and get caught up into something that seems like the right thing to do, only later on realizing that it did not produce the outcome it first intended. read Romans 12:9-21 THIS IS HOW WE ARE TO ACT. i did not single out any body here but if my comments happen to fit, than i cannot help that. and like i said my comments were not to offend but to make people consider. we are all joined with Christ and are one family just like any family when one in the family suffers than all suffer. therefor what i do reflects on you and what you do reflects on me. do i agree with the lifestyles of the gay and lesbian, no i do not, it is an abomination unto to lord.but this is why i was writing what i was writing, it was not to disagree with this thread, because i am not disagreeing. it was to get people to think about it, and look for a more effective way, and at the same time not closing the door so that we can be a witness to those gay and lesbian people, who Jesus also died for. as i also said in the early replies, the other things that were mentioned like the other companies that are doing the same thing and nobody seems to care unless its made public for what ever reason, but until that time we go about naive by choice. i hold no grudges and like to discuss, and at this i guess its about choices, i will choose to change the world one person at a time like Jesus did, and make a permanent change in the persons life. rather than using a belt that only gets obedience for a little while. punishment is only a short term solution, the long term solution is to make the person or company want to change. and if there still is a misunderstanding I'm sorry but i cannot put it any simpler. i am glad to here your kids are getting the education the way they are, we need to raise more like this and then you will see a real and lasting change. God Bless. this is my last reply as not to keep something going and stir hard feelings.

Dear KDC, I was glad that you replied. I will now let this post alone also. I do see your point and understand you better after reading this last post. Sometimes in life there will be more than one way to try and accomplish the same thing. I was leaning more to withdrawing support of McDonalds financially for the purpose of not spending what the Lord has blessed me with where it could be used against God rather than for Him, not as a punishment. I agree also with trying to change people one at a time for a lasting affect, I certainly want to reach as many as I can but have also understood that discipleship is often more effective over an extended effort and witness. Thank you for writing back, Tim
