and then some guy covered in armour sitting on it wasn't the time to be a horse, interesting find though.Nice find Brian,found half a similar heavy horse shoe a few weeks back,its nice when they are complete.
Was the Deserted Medieval Village a plague village ?? i have a similar saxon village just a few hundred yards from me deserted because of the plague,the cemetery is not far away but of course that is out of bounds,but the village never regained its former glory after the plague finished and basically just a few houses these days.
