Memorial day finds.

Went with another of my friends from the Michigan web site Randy and started in Lapeer. The only things I got on my first dive in a lake I have hit VERY hard
were a nickel and a 1888 indian head penny. Also the set of keys and of course the Zippo lighter. I don't seem to have enough of them!!!

Then we hit another lake that I have done pretty well in and all I got there was a wheat and the star token and a cross thingy with a motorcycle in the middle.
Randy hit the small park at that lake and got a 1900 and a 1908 indian head penny.

Well things were looking very slim and we were on the way home and decided to look around another lake for an access. Came across a camp and asked the person in the house if we could play in the water. He said sure!!!!

That was enough!! I was pretty tired but thought it was worth a try anyway. Randy was the first to strike gold in the wading area. A very nice 10K class ring from 2006. I was getting lots of change along with tools!! Yes, I got a huge 1 1/4 socket, a nut driver and a round file. I came up, and the manager who let us in was there. I gave him the tools and he thanked me. He said you guys don't waste any time do you!! I said no, we love the water!

Got back in and was finding more coins. Then I got another dreaded pulltab hit. Waving my hand I came up with the beautiful ring with emeralds in it. It is great to be able to fan your hand and see a gold ring emerge!! After getting out I showed it to Randy and he saw it was missing a stone. In searching for marks all we can come up with is a 8.5 inside. It is for sure gold. It had some black stuff on it and I cleaned it off. Need to find out what carat it is. Anyway the rest of the rings are junkers. Four lifeguard whistles were also nice finds. I have a nice collection of them also!! At least it turned out to be a good day.

On a more private note. I recieved a call from my 24 year old daughter. She and my 18 year old daughter went to southern Utah and put flowers on my wifes grave. It was very touching to me and I broke down. I miss Alison and the help she gave me in this world.

I bet you guys were tired at the end! Nice finds too! :)

Nice finds, scubadetector, and sounds like you are sure cleaning out the bottoms of the lakes you detect! Guess you will have to spread your water wings and find some more lakes to hunt further from home! :) The Emerald ring is really pretty and sorry one of the emeralds is missing! Nice collection of coins, also! :clapping:

The pic of your daughter and grandson is nice and with your daughters visiting your wife's grave and placing flowers on it was a blessing to you, since you couldn't! Take time to grieve because tears are healing for the soul! It will take time but you will remember her in memories of happier years! God is the One Who healeth thee! :angel;

God Bless & Good Luck in continuing :detecting: in the water and on land! :)

Maybe the stamping is "585"...and the first "5" is not clearly seen? This could be 14 K . Check it closer.

Great finds! I have been using the CZ 20 since 1995 and have found great things. What do you like best about the CZ-21? Should I consider an upgrade?

I too am sorry about the loss of your wife and a son, Deerman! I know it is very sorrowful to have loved ones pass away! My prayers for God's comforting arms surround you with His soothing love!

Hope you find enough to fill your pouch and God Bless & Good Luck! Welcome to the forum and hope you continue to be with us and post pics of your finds, we enjoy seeing what others are finding! :)

God Bless!

Welcome to you, also, bjsone! Sure glad to have you posting on the CMD Forum and that you continue and will post pics of your finds and write about your detecting adventures! Hope you find the answer to your question, but if your detector isn't broken why replace it? Unless of course, it is getting old and not finding much for you now! Good Luck & God Bless in your finding some really good finds!

God Bless!

No need to upgrade! You are running one of the best water machines made!

Mike

My CZ-20s were only upgraded when they died. Nope don't touch it. If it isn't broke just leave it alone.
