had a helping hand if you folks are right!!!
Hello,
My name is Gelia Waddle Ruple and I want to thank you
for returning my class ring to my mother. You are a
special person.
I just wanted to share what a coincidence this is.
Most people don't know my married name and even fewer
know my mother and her last name. John Hamby and my
mother just happen to be cousins. He was also a
teacher of mine at Vilonia High School before he
became a pastor. He is probably one of the only
people in Vilonia who could have found me. Both my
mother and I have unlisted telephone numbers. I am
sure that you probably did a search on Vilonia and saw
the web site for the church and contacted Mr. Hamby
that way. I just wanted to share how strange this is.
When I was in College at Fayetteville, I was home for
Christmas break in my second year and while I was
home, someone broke into my apartment and stole a lot
of my stuff. They found the guys and I got part of it
back, but of course, my ring wasn't one of them. I
never expected to see it again.
Most people would not have tracked me down to return
the ring and I want you to know how grateful I am. My
mother said that you didn't want a reward or anything,
so the best that I can do is thank you very much.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Gelia Ruple

I could not figure out how to do it. I am kinda glad that this class ring story is now closed, it was becoming kinda frustrating trying to get information to locate the owner of the ring. I will always wonder how that ring ended up down here in Texas. Again, thanks for posting this e-mail, it was much appreciated. Please have a great day! and perhaps can re-instate the belief that there are still at least, CARING, WONDERFUL people in this world. Cowboy, you went out of your way to get this back to her, and her story was interesting also. I think you should at least put this all down in story form for your future extended family members to read!
You had help, from the beginning when you found the ring, and I think you know that! If not, it would never be anything but another find to most people. You are an exception!

I want to personaly thank you for the good p.r. you have brought to our hobby.I know you didn't do this for any personal acclaim-you did it because it is the right thing to do.With some much press being given to the greedy these days it is reasuring to know that there are people like you around willing to go the extra mile and do whats right. You are an honorable man.

gives us just a sense of the love and glory of Jesus. It is something we have to consider, not for but a moment, but for the rest of our lives. It is the supreme ideal for mankind.
Fred, you used the highest form of ethics and it will be returned to you ten-fold.
I am proud to call you "Friend."
