Met up with 3 friends and went digging.......

Yesterday it was beautiful out. Mid 50's with some peeks of sunshine. Started at a 1926 school with some older tree lawns close by. Later we went to a 1949 school and dug some more. Here are my finds. The best was 2 wheats 1948 and 1911, then a Canadian Loon Dollar. That lang dark thing at the bottom is a brass bar just over 22" long. Over a pound of brass! Dealing with some back pain where I pulled some muscles, so I was slower than usual, but I sure had a good time with some friends. Spring has sprung!!! :detecting:

Nice finds, Mike. Can't say I've seen a Canadian Loon Dollar before. I've found a lot of other Canadian coins but nothing bigger than a quarter. I did find a 2 Pence British coin a long time ago and those are large coins also. Glad you could get out detecting.

First one was a water find and not long after that I found a Two dollar Canadian coin in a lake also.

Great finds Mike and also a prayer for you back.
