Metal Detecting Irony

LINDABONITA

New member
It is so weird that my oldest find from Mexico came from the U.S. (5 big centavos coin from 1945) and my oldest find from the U.S. was found in Mexico
(Barber Dime dated 1906).

metal detecting is full of irony's...a few years ago was hunting with Digger Dave in BC,,I had been looking to find a certain coin(fish scale)for over 10 years.

I said to Digger just before starting a new hunt,Dave if I find a fish scale today,I will give you a prize silver dollar,,5 minits later found a very very old fishscale...darn ironic...have found around 4 more since.. hh oj

I once found a Philippine 50 cent piece, minted in the U.S.
When the Philippines were liberated in WWII, the United States made their first coins for them.
