Metal Detecting Is Recession Proof And The Current Recession Actually Works To A Coin Hunters Advantage. Why?

Because there are now more people in many more places losing coins because they aren't at work. The best reason of all, is that many will be tapping into those one dollar coins they have been hoarding, and they will be spending them. More of those in circulation means more being lost for us proud coin hunters. :super:

Below is my finds from 2008. This has been my best year ever finding one dollar coins.

If they could only be true gold coins:sadwalk:

All of this is 99% attitude. If you think it's bad it is. If you think we are going into a depression, you will. If you think the world is going to end, it will for you.

For me things are great because I believe they are great...and you know what.......THINGS ARE GREAT!

I guess that works if you are working. I can't help but to think about those that are unemployed. If you are unemployed and can't pay your bills, it's pretty bad times. As for me I have never made so much money in my life and I am debt free. Just no time to detect.
My attitude is thankful and I make sure that I am helping those who are in need this Holiday season. Not just a token gift to appease my conscience, but truly give to those in need.

Gotta love 'em $1 and $2 coins John. They seem to be more prevalent in these parts. Man! If I could live in a City the size of Edmonton, then my finds would shoot up to a couple of grand a year at least. As it is, I live in a place with an isolated population of 39 000 and can only find hundreds instead:poke: The closet similar sized town is a 100 miles away.
Mick Evans.

Now if I was the only person in Edmonton metal detecting, I would be RICH RICH RICH. But, as is the case everywhere else, there are always opportunists around looking for a chance to make a buck or two :)

Right on, John 'n' W. VA. Attitude of Gratitude. May the Lord Jesus Christ be full in your hearts this Christmas and always.

I don't think it's bad, I've seen and lived bad in the worst way and know just exactly what it looks and feels like. Living in La La Land and a constant state of denial is fine until Fate unloads a ton of crud on one's head, then the world ain't nearly as pretty as one thought it was. And helping those less fortunate reaps the greatest reward there is and fills one with a "Feel Good" that lasts forever and supercedes any material thing you could ever possess..

Bill.
