I am always taking pictures of my finds and reposting them to my platforms. My phone is a very necessary tool in my metal detecting journey. Been metal detecting over 20 years and I have always had a log book, paper in the past and now in digital format.
I have the ability to document everything per hunt with GPS, GPS pins, photos, video, the ability to write notes for future hunts at the same as recording location for reference. It is an indispensable tool in my opinion.
