Metal detecting USMC Style

We recently had the pleasure of a weeklong visit from a good friend of mine - and my former boss. John joined the marine Corps at 18 as a private and retired 36 years later as a Colonel with a masters degree from Harvard. Along the way he had a lot of great jobs including operations officer for Coalition Forces East in the Gulf War and commander of the Marine Corps Infantry School. John showed me by example how training is the key to ensuring tat your team will succeed. He told me a little story that actually has something to do with metal detecting.

His first assignment was as communications guy

That method of training is called Leadership. Show how its done and then give a goal. Chow was always a motivator. Thank Your Friend for his Many years of Service to the Greatest Nation On Earth.
