Metal Detector Mate - Metal Detecting App for iPhone

Was wondering when someone would do something like this. I have a full blow nav system app that I can save favorite locations too. Just a different interface really.

The developer doesn't say whether you have to be connected via Wi-Fi or 3G to use or if the maps are stored on the HDD. If they aren't then if you find yourself hunting in areas that are a little remote it's going to render the app useless while on location.

$2.99 for this app is too much. There are other apps which aren't advertised as "metal detecting" that can do the exact same thing and then some.
Check out 'Location Tracking GPS 4.0' which is a buck less and can do everything this app does plus more. It includes multi-tasking, landscape mode etc.
Or check out 'Locationizer' which is $0.99 and also has more features than this app. Plenty of free ones out there too.

Thanks for sharing though bro. I just think the developer needs to put a lot more work into this puppy before asking $3 for it.
