Meter in all metal?

Hi all, I've got an xs-2a pro and need to know if using the meter in all metal works in the same way as in disc mode. The numbers don't seem to match from 1 mode to another. The meter is the original minelab one that came with the detector. Thanks for your time, happy hunting, Mark

The meter tracks with the audio tone.
In all metal you have a default audio tone and corresponding meter reading. The audio will shift on targets to some extent depending on how strong the signal is, so the meter will shift with it. It has no target ID value.

I wonder if there are patterns in the meter in All Metal that can be quantified? I've never watched to see as I've used All Metal very little thus far, mainly just testing to see if it's deeper than discriminate, which so far it appears not to be.
