Meter Update Speed ???

JHM

Member
I'm considering a new meter for the Sov. I have one that I made and it worked fine until I tried a Minelab meter. The ML had a faster update speed. Is the update speed on the Sunray fast also, or is it slower than the Minelab? Most people prefer the Sunray why?

The new Minelab 180 meter and the SunRays DTI are great meters and fast responding so when close to another metal target you have to try working it over just one target without hitting the other one as it will change the ID fast. I feel the new Minelab 180 meter is the best one Minelab has made.
The reason I like the SunRays DTI meter is they have a better viewing angle as they sit higher and the angle they sit are easy to see. The DTI 3 also has a back light and has the numbers on the face of the meter to help those getting used to Sovereign. Another thing I feel is the Sun Rays DTI meters seem to be more sensitive to little changes which helps me find the coins that are close to trash and deeper.
