MI-6/4 Tip Protector

Instead of paying $8 for three tip protectors on the auction site for your XP MI-6, you can pay $2 for four and they work great. https://www.acehardware.com/departments/home-and-decor/indoor-furniture/protective-furniture-pads/5015664 Just make sure to get the 1" size.

I dipped mine in plasti dip. Works great and I used red

I got a set of the vinyl ones and kinda regret it. It doesn't fit tight and bound to get dirt inside.

I do not need any. I do not use my MI-6 to dig with, break the plug open with, scrape the ground or pry with. I only use my MI-6 to locate the target by moving the tip just above the ground. Works great for me. However, if you do use the MI-6 in the ways I described above, this is a great idea and I recommend the tips.

James, You're too organised! Lol...

Some years ago, I received a water usable probe from Makro and in the 'presentation box' were a few spare tips...I used just one on another probe.
Currently, on my 3rd yr with the AT ProPointer and no tip on it. But like you James, I don't use to to "excavate and push thru!"
