MI6 pinpointer

What if anything do you use to protect the tip of this pinpointer that will not sacrifice any depth

Nothing special. To prevent from unnecessary wear and tear, I don't use my pinpointers as digging tools like I see some. I have a Lesche to dig with, Pinpointer to pinpoint with.

The MI-6 shell is a replaceable item, so if it does wear it is an easy swap.
XP designed the circuit so it comes out as a complete unit and slides straight into the new shell.
 
You can buy plastic covers online I bought a 6 pack theyre great and last to..
