been very busy since returning. Been going at it from 6:30 am to 8:00 or 9:00 at night, too tired to post much.
Here goes:
The Doctors, staff and general atmosphere were quite different than what we had been to and through before. I don't know if it is that it was a Southern hospital or that it is just the way that they do things there at the University of Virgina. Everyone was helpful and thoughtful. Dr. Lee, a fellow (a position not a gender, she's a she) spent about an hour going through Michelle's medical records and asking questions, never rushing anyone. She said she thought that Michelle had more than one condition. Wow, brilliant minds think alike, that's what I've been saying. She also was concerned about Michelle's malnutrition from her limited tolerance for many foods. Hmmmm, dear old dad has been harping on that one too! So intelligent and yet so young too. She started Michelle on tests. Dr. Lee is going into private practice and I have a concern that whomever takes over Michelle's care will be willing to go outside the box like Dr. Lee. Dr. Shah that oversees the interns and fellows said they may not be able to find out what is wrong with Michelle but for us not to give up.
May God bless all who have prayed or want to pray for Michelle,
