Even though Guvner still has not agreed to renew our permits we are moving forward anyways.

He will fly in St. Louis in 4/13 and we will detect somewhere there that day, spend Wednesday thru Saturday in SW Missouri by me before heading back to St. Louis to detect all day Sunday 4/18 and most of Monday 4/19.

If anyone is interested in hooking up with us for some fun, serious detecting and a chance to hunt with the detecting legend himself, Michelob, (at least that what he thinks ) let me know.

You crack me up cuz. I am just curious on what rig you are finally gonna settle with, E-Trac, SE, EXII...hey would you like me to bring down my 1st generation Garrett Grand Master for ya, maybe that will help.. :heh:

Wow, it took you a whole day to think up that weak smack???

It doesn't matter, I can use my daughters Ace 250 and I will still school you cuz.

Hey Bob, how are the ground conditions down your way? Snow, ice or frost? Snow is almost gone here today just in time for a few inches of fresh in the forcast,Ray.
PS. I am thinking the Guv has his priorities all messed up and will be to busy to catch any unauthorized hunters on his watch:poke:

The hunting is not as EASY as the last time you where over this way !!
These Parks have been BEATEN too DEATH and then some !!!
Don't get me wrong there are still coins there to be found but a lot less signals left out there to go over !
Plus the Natives have become a little more RESTLESS with the JOB rate being as low as it is ,There seems to be a lot more trouble makers out in the Ghetto parks we used to LOVE to hunt in are NO LONGER as Safe as the once where !
Even Big Mike has been asked to leave by a few of the Local Thugs!
BUT don't let that stop you from coming on over !! You know we will hunt the parks anyway !!!!
Drop me a line or give me a call when you get in town and we will Rally the troops for a RAID!!

Hey Ray. Stll some snow cover here and looks like a fresh coating here on Monday too. Dang!!

And, yes Guvner aint paying much attention, but hopefully you and Guvner will be able to join in on the hunt. Besides, like Golddigger says, we may need some more firepower:thumbup:

Hi Golddigger, thanks for the info. I understand things are getting worse there but hopefully we can have a large enough group show up. Power in numbers.

I look forward to hunting with you again. Mine and Michelob's last trip there was Oct. '08 and I believe you were still in TN at the time.

I'm hoping we can get you, Big Mike, Guvner, Bryce, Ray, Ashdigger, and some others for a fun day of hunting. Might even be able to make a few good youtube videos out of it too.

Thanks Guvner. Any chance you might be able to join us again?? I might be willing to teach you how to finally use your E-Trac. :detecting:

Ray says that is the way you like to hunt. This way you have an excuse when you don't find anything:rofl:

It's been awhile, but I had a great time the last time I hunted IL and STL with Goddigger (and TC, and Ric, and Mike (OH). There were a few others with us and I also had the opportunity to meet guv and Big Mike at Fairgrounds Park. I also found a nice Barber Dime there. But the BIG find during that trip came from Mike from Ohio who found a SWEEEEEET 1875-S 20-cent piece in Shelbyville. I think Ric wanted to brain him with his digger! Here's a pic from that weekend taken in Pana, where I found a nice sterling thimble and an 1887-S Seated Dime the day before, along with an aerial view of Fairgrounds Park.

Someday I'll make it back down there guys!
