Wow temps got into the 50's over the weekend ground thawed out.Got my new coil from Fisher,no questions asked and only took a couple weeks for the replacement :fisher::clapping: Wanted to try the railroad tracks where we used to hang out when kids! We used to put pennys down on the rails then try to find the smashed ones.Well I found a smashed coin alright but it was a 50 cent piece!!! Boy we never put one of those down, heck that would buy a hot dog and a pop!!!! Also got two wheats(1912-1941) and some clad, shell casings and what looks to be a handle for a chest of drawers? Hope some other northerners got out...hh rick in mi

That is pretty neat. I always like to go back to spots I remember as a kid. Glad it paid off for you. That half is awesome.

Now that was some good thinking there! I remember those locations just a little out of town where the kids would either take shortcuts across the tracks to the baseball fields or whatnot..remember them clearly...great find on the half!

Hey Rob I think its from the 70's.The only visible number is a 1 just before the 9 I would believe. The more I look at it makes me think its not silver.I also didn't hit as high on the number scale my other silver halves did..Thanx for looking..hh rick in mi
