Got a question when you turn in your jewerly to Midwest do you only pay 5% for gold? Second, can you turn in 14k white gold with 14k yellow gold? Is it the same calculation? Sorry never ever turned in my finds before and only 2 months ago realized i could. Mind you i was detecting for well over 6 years until 2 months ago. Thanks in advance.

They pay spot price on the pure gold content MINUS 5%. as far as i know, yellow and white can be mixed together. dendritics.com/scales/metal-calc. is the site i check for calculating what to expect from MIDWEST. sam in ms
PS midwest have always been fast in responding to emails.

When I called recently they told me to just bundle everything up and send it in. The comment was that they will "scrutinize every piece". Haven't sent mine in yet either but I don't think we're gonna see more than $950 on average for gold. Good Luck!

midwest will give you 95% of the melt value of your gold(you lose some when the gold is melted due to
impurities in the gold)midwest will check for steel in the gold bracelets, earrings etc.. so check it before you send it in,I break off all post on the earrings and have all chains checked before sending them in so you know what you have before hand .you can call them and talk to someone about what thay will take/use in the melt also if you have alot of say 14k send it in by itself same with 18k and 22k as midwest will melt it all together and that will change what you get for your gold for some reason?(pure golds pure gold?) hope this helps
