A beautiful day for detecting today, after a good amount of needed rain. Went park hunting today with Steve (daytondigger) and Manny. We all got silver. Started at 9 and went until 5 with a short break for lunch. Bested my best day for silver by one... got 17 today. Four quarters, 13 dimes, taking me to 255 silver for the year. Also surpassed my wheat goal for the year, getting #1000 somewhere in the middle of all that, with 26 wheats. A little over $7 in clad and a sterling silver heart charm.

So, quarters: dateless SLQ, 1941, 1942, 1945. Dimes: 1917, 1918, 1923, 1939, 1939-D, 2-1943, 1944, 2-1946, 1950-D, 1959, 1960-D. Oldest wheat was a 1917, I think, and the second oldest was a 1918-S.

Hope everyone got out digging today!

Great finds, your parks seem to have a lot of silver waiting for you. Thanks for letting a little of that rain come up north,we have not had any for three weeks.

Wow !! Really nice nick..Thats more silver in a day than ive come close too :) And your wheatie count...Holy smokes! Did you get any key dates outta all those coins?Thx for sharing your Hunt,,Grats!

man thats a lot of diggin

Nick, do you do video? I, and I bet many others, would be most interested to watch you doing a typical hunt. I am very curious as to how fast you cover the ground. I picked a 44 merc last week that just barley chirped with my 6"X8" coil. I have had my ET since April and have found more silver (13) with it but I am continually amazed at how well you do. I keep slowing down, but still wonder if I am way to fast.

I don't do video, I may someday, but not yet. Slow is slow enough that you hear everything passing under the coil. Those chirps are the sign to hone in on that chirp and find out what it is. If you're doing your research and are at old sites and parks, it sounds like you're doing the right thing! :)

I worship you. Nick, that is a phenomenal hunt! You are the man!!! I can't wait to get my E-trac back and get back out there.

Man, does anyone else hunt where you go...EVER? I mean I can hunt for weeks and not pull out what you did in one day. Congrats on a great hunt!
