I have a pair of jolly rogers that I thought were good also...They may be as they are the only ones I've been useing until I got a PM asking me what I thought of the Koss...Well my SE is sitting right next to me & the stock headphones were still in the factory bag...I promptly took them out & did a quick comparison...I actually like the deep tone but am not really sure that they will respond as well as the JR's as far as deep goes because when air testing, the outer limits seemed to start out as a grunt & then the flutie sound...the JR's on the other hand didn't start as a grunt but instead more of a faint flute... I'm gonna reserve judgement on the koss & JR's til I get them out in the field & do more than a few comparison tests on weak signals...but my initial air test the signal from the koss, while even starting out as a grunt ended with what SEEMED to be a much stronger & louder flute...(I also can tell the difference between a penny & dime with BOTH of them)I just wish I had a pair of Grey Ghost NDT's, Black Widows, Troy Pro's & Timberwolves to do this comparison all in one day. Any takers??? I'll even ship them back to you UNLESS of course they happen to be the BEST...& then I'll gladly send you a check & my endorsement...You will also be allowed to use this post & my follow up post in any ad campain you choose...Put your headphones where your mouths are
