I just read that Minelab is raising the price of their Explorer lower rods. I can't seem to find one and feel that they are too costly as it is. Is there another rod that can be used???? Ron B.

Well I am not suprised for the price increase because the rod is made of carbon fiber, having experienced the growth of use of carbon fiber in the Bicycle industry for many years the demand for it has increased expontentially. Much of the carbon fiber and other similar raw goods are disapearing in the yawning black hole of Chinese manufacturing, they are such a large user of raw goods that the rest of the world has a hard time competing for the product so conversely the price they have to pay increases.

capitalism works even in communist china. who doesn't seem to be so communist minded these days. when you say buy american, it seems they thought you said buy america. i wonder if there's a md market over there? there otta be coins and relics everywhere.
