Greetings. OK. Think of the range of TID numbers on the 705.
Runs from -8 on the left to what, 40 on the right? Something like that.
Now, the TID's on the right of the range cover targets like silver, old coins, and clad coins.
These targets are best searched for with a 3 kHz coil.
The TID's on the left of the range cover targets like relics and gold.
These targets are best searched with a HF coil.
So that leaves the mid-range TID's left for the 7.5 kHz coil.
What common targets are there in the mid-range TID'S?
Some jewerly, but mostly trash.
Even Digger prefers to use a 3 kHz coil (see book).
I wrote to Minelab and explained this to them.
All 705's should come stock with a 3 kHz coil.

Good luck with that.
In the UK the 705 comes with a 10" 7.5kHz coil stock, but nowhere else.
You can buy a "Gold Pack" that comes with the 5x10" 18.75kHz DD, or a "Dual Pack" that has the 9" MF CC & 5x10" HF DD, but those are your only choices for anything but a stock 9" MF CC.

FWIW, until gobs of people begged there was only a 9" LF CC. It took years to get the 6" & 15" LF DD coils that we now have, so don't expect a 3kHz "Coin Shooter Pack" anytime soon.

What do the 6" and 15" LF coils do that the 9" can't? Why use a DD design when running at 3.5Khz and negate the advantages of a concentric coil??? For US dimes at depth the 9" LF concentric should be the best choice by far. It seems to me ML listened to the wrong people. LOL
