It's an interesting test but the coils have to be matched for it to be truly relevant. You mention it at the end though.
Also, isn't there a settings mismatch as well in the sense that the Equinox seems to be set to reject iron signals but not the Impact ?
 
They were both at factory default.
 
I get my nox today , but i have very serious doubts it could match my impact in iron. Peeps just do not really understand the power the impact has to sift thru iron. I will being tests as well.
