Minelab Eureka Gold stolen

Well I guess it official. I bought a Minelab Eureka Gold off e-bay. I got a notification on Thursday that it was delivered on Monday. I called the post office and they informed me that they would speak with the carrier and get back to me ........... So if anyone hears of a Eureka gold for sale around the MA NH coastal area, please let me know. Or please inform the Newbury, MA police dept.

Check around your house (In the garage, behind the bushes, side doors, etc). I have had this happen several times where the carrier left it somewhere I never would have expected. Also you may want to ask your neighbors to check around their place as well. If you don't have any luck that way ask to speak to the carrier directly, they'll normally remember a large box and should be able to tell you if or when they delivered it. Good luck...

I went on Ebay and checked out the detector. My guess is that it was never shipped. The negative feedback and unusually low selling price make me think that the thief is the "seller". File a claim with Paypal and check the tracking information very closely, it has probably been altered, is fake or is for a different shipment.

I spoke with the post office, the have delivery confirmation on it. They were suppose to talk to the carrier and get back to me and never did. The seller has a bad feedback because the first buyer wanted it sent to an address other than his confirmed address. I did write the first buyer, he cancelled the deal 4 days after the auction and was refunded his money by the seller, not e-bay. I would say the negative was given to the seller for playing by the rules.

I've checked everywhere, of course I missed a few days since it was delivered. The package was delivered at 2:50 pm and I was home by 4. Who ever took it would have had to be watching the postman, we are on a dead end street.

Don't forget to watch the postman's reaction when you ask. You might be looking a lot closer at the person that took it then you think. (I am not saying the postal carrier did take it, however the possibility is there ) It could of been a scan job... then back into the truck (or never came out) and then drove someplace secluded to hide it only to come back in the evening to pick up. Just a different angle to look at - Hope you recover your funds or find your detector. - Jim

Was it doubled box? If not, that's why you always tell the seller to box it. even if it cost you a little extra.

I have no idea, the seller will not answer his e-mails.

Seaweednh, I make my living selling on Ebay and have dealt with these problems several times before. It's seriously in your best interest to immediately file an item not received claim with Paypal/Ebay! The advantage is that they will put a hold on the funds in the seller's account until the situation is straightened out. If it ends up that it was stolen from your mail, then you can release the hold and the seller will still get paid, but if the seller is not being truthful you'll have a much better chance of getting some/all of your money back.

I had something like that happen with a purchase on FINDMALL. I was planning a move, and had stacked some boxes on my front porch, planning to load them for the move in a few days. I thought that the items had not arrived, but they did. Instead of leaving the items at my front door, he stacked them on the piled boxes on the front porch and they both slipped down behind the other boxes.

I hope that you are fortunate enough to get this resolved to your satisfaction.

Good luck;.

Unfortunately .. packages left on doorsteps are now the target of thieves. It's easier than earning a living through gainful employment ... very sad. I hope you get the problem resolved.
