so would you say its better to have your sensitivity turned up??

I let the detector set it to the best level for the conditions. Too high or too low in the wrong soil won't produce as well as being 'tuned' to the soil conditions. One problem I encounter with the Sensitivity too high is that when I switch on the X-1 Probe it becomes erratic to the point of uselessness. Letting the detector set its own level I do not encounter that problem with the X-1 Probe.

Guess that makes is a personal choice more than a carved in stone - no choice - decision.
