is the Sun Ray Stealth X-5 5.5" coil a good for coin hunting and will it go deep i have a good chans to get one for a good dill i coin hunt is the coil a good one to get any one that has one is it worth the money or shod i get a X-8

Richard, get the x-8. I have both and I like both but I normally grab the x-8. The 5" coil is great for Junk filled areas and places that you need to get tight to something. They are tearing the bleachers apart at a ballfield across from where I work. This made it easy to get under with all the wood seating gone but it still has the metal supports. The 5" coil was great for this. In a little over an hour I found over 3.00 in change and a nice large silver cross. But for day in and day out, covering alot of different circumstances, the x-8 is the weapon of choice. HH
