At large sites with few targets I use my 18"excellerator for the coverage. In the front yard or littered sites I use my smallest, 8" excellerator (wouldn't mind trying 5"). Mostly I just use my stock 10" Pretty much all purpose until I run into these other situations. Not sure if I qualify as a pro.

It just works for so many types of sites. I use it about 75% of the time. You have to have the stock coil to be sure you get all the deeper stuff but the X-8 helps to pick out targets from iron and trash and still gets pretty dang deep!!!! AND the weight and balance are a real plus.
