Target ?ID? At depth. 4 stars.
That’s what I like to see.

I just read that in the voice of the narrator of "oak island" somebody shoot me. :crylol:

That's what I am liking. Should be a killer machine.

lol...i hate that narrator too... metal??? on Oak Island ddd??? can anyone make an entire paragraph sound like a question???

Battery life...... ugh. Im hoping it doesnt turn into a cell phone battery situation..... i hate cell phones. But when they start coming up with ways to externally charge right off the bat..... ugh again. For me in the water if its nose heavy it wont be a big deal because most of MLs coils arent floaters...... out of the water it could be. But .... im likely to make my own straight shaft anyway and will balance it. I assume 4 starts is the highest rating........ so take a good looks at what those stars are for. Like Steve H....... hopefully they will come up with other coils considering its a lot of detectors in one. I noticed the Deus got just 1 star....... i guess they assume beach hunting is water/wet sand.......but i believe it should have gotten a few more for the other half of the beach..... dry sand.

Dew

"Air performance"? "AIR PERFORMANCE"???? Wow what does that tell you? I guess there really is a need to detect the hidden coins in the air, or, is this the best machine for Mario to use?

Anyway, I would of liked to be there.

Reminds me of an 'air ball' in basketball....hitting nothing.
Air and ground are too very different mediums.

while not waterproof they stretched the envelope Compass opened with the X-100 with switchable frequencies, and also, filters with the X-200.
Starting about '84?

A star based system done by them ? I'm sold...

I have my Deus now and waiting to see how the 800 is before I buy one the Deus is so adjustable it is crazy
And I find a lot with it so I’m not replacing it with the 800 but it will be my beach machine,

That ol'compass 200 looks like the machine Monte was swinging on the cover of this March 1990 magazine

Vlad you are correct, I believe its an X-100..........anyhow I called Monte up and sent him a link asking if he could give some background/history on that machine he was holding when he posed for the magazine cover LOL hopefully he respond back :)

I do not know what happened ti the X-200, but it was not as deep ( George Payne got the bugs out of the X-100, not there for the 200.)
At some point in the '80/s Compass was bought by a guy from Pakistan; the next thing to happen was a fire in the factory and Compass never recovered.
You can find them on ebay and maybe East Texas Metal Detectors in Gilmer.

My thoughts exactly. Someone at Garrett and XP are probably creating their own PowerPoint selecting certain features, like programmability, available aftermarket coils, useability, reliability, successful history of finds.

This machine might be the greatest detector out there, but at this point it's all propaganda.
