Minelab releasing the new "SE PRO"

Saw it on another site- only difference that was obvious was the coil.
I'm sure more info will be released soon.

Anyone have any ideas what the changes will be?
Someone said the coil was the only difference....that would be a shame
Not sure whey you would release a whole new detector if the coil was the only change.

Whites is doing the same thing with there DFX. It seems that they have gone a far as they can with the detector, so now all they can do is try to improve the coil. I held off buying the SE until the improvements were more substantial. Well maybe this is it.

I thought that was funny (if slightly irritating)--producing a video just to show one still picture.

Well its not difficult to produce the video.... and it is news.
We just grabbed a picture of it and that was the only information that was available to us.. so there was nothing more we could say but you did get to see the coil and machine.
We are field testing the coil and will have a video up quite shortly.

What I do know is that its a new configuration on the SE with a innovative "11! light weight coil that is the only change I know about at the moment.

How about fixing the buttons and lcd...

with the rain cover on the buttons are a pain to push and the lcd is hard to read cause of the glare.

Can tell you guys are having fun, Gary. I liked the silly intro to ItME Advanced. But I reloaded the video because I thought I must have missed something or it stopped early or....

Sorry Rich.. I don't follow you... which video??
We do have a lot of fun... people find the bloopers really funny.
There's nothing like taking the micky out of your mates... :twodetecting:

We've nearly finished our shallow water hunting DVD now where we find real goodies with no planting of finds.
I think the honesty really shows when we do the programs. I must admit when we made the first "Exploring The Explorer" the silver dollar was used as a prop and I wasn't very good at hiding the fact. After that we decided everything we do would be "as is" even if we didn't find anything.
The next productions we are going to try and do a lot more in the US... because I do admit a lot of our stuff has been European based.
So if anyone has any suggestion... we are really open to them... because in all honesty we want detectorists to buy the products.

What I have found though is that the English humour is very different than the humor in the USA and some people found me offencive when I was saying things like "to all you Americans out there..." etc. but it wasn't intended. The other side of the coin the Australians and the English really go for each other on the humour side. You cant please everyone... but if its done with good intent I believe it comes across as so.
Ive been to the USA about 6 times now... I was the key note Speaker Tthe Las vegas Conferance for Minelab a few years ago... met alot of your dealers there.... and had a lot of fun. Also met Ralph from SunRay... great guy and very genuine and a man who makes great products too.

By the way... if any of you do upload to the MLOTV site you can win any Minelab detector of your choice... I'm serious... but you have to the September 1st.
Also if the admin of this section want to make their own "advert" or sponsors of this forum I I don't mind putting it up either. The Internet is a huge place and there is enough room for everyone.

All The Best

Gary

...is video with very good, clear audio of deepies, iffies, and in iron-infestation. And all the permutations in between. :) Lots and lots of them. Basically, I'd love a whole video of multiple expert Explorer users, specifically some who use different settings/techniques, with a screenshot of their settings (con/fer, gain, etc.) listed in the intro for each user, a short shot showing their ground-covering technique, but the bulk of the video being just plain coils over targets with great sound, some explanation from the expert users about why they stopped for that target, what they're hearing in the audio (and perhaps a bit of the screen info if they're using it), and what the target turns out to be and how far down. That could be clearer but you get the idea.

Bloody 'ell, some folks get offended when the wind changes direction. :)

I'd just meant the announcement video. (Rereading I can see I wasn't clear.) No biggie though.

....When the time comes that you want to do a change-over. Just buy the new coil.

But they may take some time before they are avail.

For now go have fun...................

I read that this coil will be available for the other Explorer models and Quattro:

It would be very good if Minelab make such coil for Sovereign:)

When are they planning to have the coils out? How much are they going to cost and where can I get one?? The new coil appears to be somewhat of a figure eight design. If indeed, it is a figure 8 design, that would cut back on electrical interference a bunch!! There are Detech's that are figure 8's, but you can't get them in the states yet. i can't wait for your water hunting video. Thanks for the info Gary.
