Minelab Seminars

I have a question, Does Minelab have seminars for people that own the Minelab brand of detectors? If so where at, if not why not ? Also if they don't wouldn't it be good marketing on their part to have seminars all across the U. S.

He is trained to teach you how to operate your detector. Plus 99.9% of dealers are long time knowledgeable detector operators.

Elton is correct in that Minelab dealers (aka Minelab Partners) should help each of their customers maximize the performance of the detectors they sell. In addition, Kevin Hoagland is Minelab's Director of Partner Development based in Prescott Valley Arizona, where he manages the Minelab Technology Training Center. Kevin spends a good deal of his time traveling the US training Minelab Partners (dealers) and consumers on Minelab technology and presenting condensed training seminars on metal detecting at various gold and treasure shows across the nation. Kevin also hosts a number of Consumer based events each year from the Prescott Valley location. http://www.minelab.com/usa/treasure-talk?author=18163

Randy,

Kevin does a super job on seminars for the gold detectors but when it comes to the other models such as the Explorer, E-Trac, X-Terra or Excalibur, the depth in any of the factory sponsored presentations has not been there and that is not a personal observation but one voiced by dealers and consumers alike that have been to shows and conventions.

There are some exceptionally proficient dealers that can show people the ins and outs of the detectors but they may not be around the corner for a lot of hunters. Try to get in touch with other Minelab users to see if you can get together and share techniques. Seeing is the secret in most cases and I know that when I have held sessions with people in the field, a half a day session gets people way up on the learning curve for sure.
