Minelab virgin needs info

Tagamet

New member
I've never used a Minelab, but I'm considering an Explorer II. I downloaded the manual from the Minelab site to start my research, but I need to know what size coils are available for the Exp II. Is there a short answer, or can some kind soul provide a link to a spot where they are listed?
Thanks,
Tagamet
PS Has anyone dealt with a fellow with the handle "Wheelbubble"? He has a used machine I'd like to buy, but I can't find much info on him.

There are MANY coils made for the Explorer. They range from down to a 5" inch all the way up to 18" from several different manufacturers.
Sunray, Coiltech, and several made by EXcelerator . There may even be more out there that I'm not aware of.

...you're trying to check up on HIM and he's trying to check up on YOU. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?44,270601

Or maybe that isn't you he's asking about. Either way, I've never heard of either one of you on the forums, myself. And that doesn't mean that's a BAD thing, but doesn't give us much help on credibility.

I suggest you read THIS:

I haven't got a clue on what you're talking about.
The man asked about coils for the Explorer and I answered him, granted I didn't have my coffee this morning but I'm drawing a blank here for sure :)

For starters, I AM NOT KEITH. When I talked to Wheelbubble by phone, I explained that I am Larry J. Geguzis AKA Tagamet and I have a REAL email address, lgeguzis@kcsd.us
I've dealt with Big Red several times and just today completed deals with dirtdigger, CSpene, Ron's Southern Treasures, and dawg. Please feel free to check with all of them.
I'd like to get similar references from Wheelbubble. I have no idea where he's coming up with this Keith stuff.

This is exactly the info I'd hoped for.

...you obviously answered his FIRST question sufficiently, which is why I left it alone. But you apparently missed his SECOND question, which I addressed.

His second question:

PS Has anyone dealt with a fellow with the handle "Wheelbubble"? He has a used machine I'd like to buy, but I can't find much info on him.

Does that help? :)

You DID help with the first question, but you confused things by associating ME with wheelbubble's request for info on this Keith person. Why did you think that that was me? Am I missing something?
Thanks for the info and any clarification you can provide.

Well, as I said, that might not have been YOU he was checking up on. Which apparrently it wasn't. But he was checking up on SOMEBODY, same as you were. And I can certainly understand your hesitation to deal with somebody you know nothing about. And for that reason, I think the advice that Guvner gave was good. I wish I could help more. Maybe somebody who has dealt with him will yet answer up.

You didn't miss anything. See my other post. I stated in my original post that he may not have been talking about YOU but here was the guy YOU were checking up on before buying his Explorer that was on another forum, checking up on SOMEBODY that wanted to buy an Explorer from him. I think you can see where one MIGHT connect the dots. He used a REAL name and I wasn't sure if yours was a last name, forum "handle", or what. No harm intended, and that's why I said "That may not be you..." but the point was that there ARE things you can do in that case which is why I linked to the Guv's post on not getting ripped off.

Now I understand, I couldn't for the life of me figure why someone would say I've never posted on the forums before, had to take a quick look see and make sure I wasn't invisible this morning. :) But I've got that 3rd. cup of coffee in my blood stream and I'm alright, now if the rain would stop pounding the ground I can go detecting.
Thanks Mike

No doubt...I've read plenty of your posts. But I can see how easy it is to miss one sentence too. Sorry for any confusion.

sorry but its a half year I guess between me and someone else with a 2 it was hit hard but wasnt it neat to be there ? sorry ill find another have a few in mind.

Yeah, it's always worth a shot. I've found some sites that were hard to believe that nobody had ever huntied them before, but they were truely "virgin" sites. And then there's the other end of the scale...beat to death. And that patch of woods is a nice big area, but not hard to hunt. And it's pretty well closed-in from all sides now. Not to mention that the majority of it heading over towards the 7-11 is now posted and "strictly prohibited" and "strongly enforced".
