A few questions about the Minipulse

Does the discrimination control on this unit vary the pulse delay - and if so, what is the minimum?

How does it otherwise compare with a Goldscan?

Can SAT be added?

Thanks,

Rick K.

Hi Rick,

Yes, this control varies the pulse delay. I think the minimum delay was 20uS, but I will check and post if it was different. As it was not a motion type detector, SAT cannot be added easily.

I have found one for sale. How does it compare to a Beachscan or Goldquest in terms of beach hunting for gold jewelry. Also, would it be any good for deep silver inland if you were willing to dig all?

Thanks for the advise.

That Pulse was made along time ago.It is a completely different machine compared to todays PI. Without the SAT control and no ground balance using it away from the beach is very difficult. The Goldscan is a 2000.00 dollar detector with ground balance and much more gain. Good luck in your selection.

I HAVE BEEN USING IT INLAND SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE,JUST FINDS EVERYTHING METAL AND DEEP I'M IN TAMPA BAY AREA OF FLORIDA
