Minuteman falsing issues

It seems my Minuteman falses a lot with the 8" concentric. I just swapped my 5x10 elliptical off my G2+ and it seems to false less. The Minuteman is 7.7 khz and G2+19khz. Does swapping of coils change the khz on Minuteman?

Remember too that the Minuteman is a fixed ground balance unit. If the preset ground balance is set too negatively for your soil it will cause excess falsing. If you bought it new, there is a five year warranty so you might want to call the First Texas repair dept. If airtest performance is way worse with the 8" you probably have a defective coil.

I have no idea why that would correct the issue, but since it's not falsing now that's great. Of the three FT coils for the Greek platform detectors I've used, I like that 8" round the best. Hope you find a lot of goodies with it!

The Eurotek was ahead of it's time when it came out in 2013, the ability to turn down the volume on the ferrous while keeping the non-ferrous at full volume is a feature I really like that other detectors have incorporated since. I like to hear it all but have the ferrous volume way down so a volume setting of 11 is ideal for me.
