Hello my friends, Some of you may remember me from my posts of years ago. I have not posted for a few years.
As I sit here in my home on this snowy day in southern Mo. I feel led by by the Holy Spirit to post a part of my testimony, with the belief that it may encourage someone who reads it. I was saved through faith and the grace of our lord and savior about 15 years ago. As I continue to grow in my walk with the Lord, I thought I would share some of the things God has done for me and my family since then. Please understand that I am in no way bragging about myself or my family - I am a lowly sinner saved by the grace of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Nothing I have ever done could have accomplished this.....It was given freely to me by a great cost to HIM on his finished work at Calvary. All I had to do was believe in my heart, ask for forgiveness, and repent of my sins. When I did this, a old man inside me died and a new man was born....I was born again....PRAISE GOD!
At this time in my life, My marriage was headed for divorce, I was facing bankruptcy, I was facing many serious health problems both physically and mentally. I was considering suicide. My adult children would barely speak to me.
Within a few weeks after I accepted the Lord ....MY WIFE DID THE SAME ! A few weeks later after seeing the change in us BOTH of my adult children did the same and are living for the LORD today....and we are a close loving family, and our financial problems were all resolved....WITHOUT bankruptcy! When I began to follow the Lord, and give him praise no matter what things looked like - or how bad things seemed...When I learned to trust him and stand upon his word, miracles began to happen and my faith continued to grow. Very soon, my wife and I will celebrate our 43rd anniversary and are more in love than ever.
I could write all day about the miracles God has given to me and my family, but I will limit it to one. About 2 tears ago my daughter-in law was pregnant with our 9th grandchild. After some complications, she was sent to a specialist at Barnes hospital in St Louis. After running some tests her and my son were called into a conference room to hear the "BAD" news. Showing them the test results including the xrays the doctors informed them that the baby had severe irreversible birth defects. Among these where he only had 1 lung, the heart was not developing properly and was on the wrong side of his chest and the child also had possible chromison problems. They gave the chlid a 99.9% chance of dying in the womb. Their advise.......Abortion.
This was NOT an option for my children even though they were devastated by the news they knew where to turn. We contacted every church and believer we knew and soon had Christians all over the state and in other states praying and standing in faith with us. To make a long story shorter, a few weeks later, they went back to the hospital (Different Doctors) and had the same tests ran. To the absolute astonishment of the doctors - the baby was rapidly developing a 2nd lung, and the heart was rapidly moving to where it was supposed to be. They said that what they were witnessing was medically impossible ......but had no explanation. By the time our miracle baby was born....at full term he was and is 100% healthy. He is nearly 18 months old now, a joy to all who know him and healthy in every way.
I apologize for the length of this post but feel that it is God's will that I post it and that someone out there needs to read it. I encourage everyone to not despair when we afflicted with the trails and heartaches of this life, to grow your faith and praise the Lord. NOTHING is to hard for God. I am living proof.
