ML suing XP

If you had similar interactions with Minelab I'm sure they would feel they have grounds for paying their lawyers to bring the suit so , perhaps you have an insular perspective?
If the patent I mentioned is not the one in issue , do you know which one is allegedly being infringed upon?
At this point everything is speculation and some hard facts would be welcomed.

True tis a lot of speculation, but has anyone a idea for us as customers to undertake to ensure the manufactures are well aware that plenty of us are concerned, we cannot influence the court no doubt, maybe we can influence the manufactures through detecting 4Ms if enough of us register we are concerned. Nought can be gained if we just don`t try. Maybe just the under dog will be encouraged enough to do a David.

"Can you imagine what could be acheived if they joined forces? Naw...will never happen!

Maybe MTV might bring back Celebrity Deathmatch!!!"

After the closing of the Europe Office and the fiasco that was the Gpx and the Go Find.I belive that Minelab its trying to grab some money elsewhere.

Gold - ot's about gold in Africa - Minelab has fallen flat in the VLF area and XP just launched an under $700 gold machine variant of the Deus.

Andy says "The comment that Minelab waited for the gold market to be attacked . . . guess what? XP has been selling a modified Deus and other units in the gold fields for years already . . . . or is that piece not known? The Gold Field program on the V3.X Deus was adopted from the version that had already been sold in Africa . . . . so that is not the basis for the supposed claim of a suit."

OK - I'll bite.

Was Depar their agent?

I kind of follow that stuff and don't recall. Please furnish a reference. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it's not correct, but I don't recall a version of the Deus optimized for gold for sale previously.

Good luck with the reference ,,,it's a time management thing:)

And Trump is suing both of them! LOL

Depar sells the machine - XP makes it. It's not a clone or a copy. Until the end of November, Depar was Minelab's distributor for Mid and Far East, plus Africa. minelab dropped them - why - ask ML, but I would not be surprised if ML wanted Depar to quit selling machines which compete for African gold mining business.

Here's Depar's page

thank you for clearing that up, very helpful information and now makes perfect sense the spec sheet is an exact copy of the Dues. Hope this gets sorted out in XP's favor patent trolls are the scum of the lawyer world.

Well, I was up in the air between E-trac and Deus....... My Deus will be here next week. Shame on you Minelab.
