I made a little makeshift greenhouse in our unheated garage a couple of years ago. Put together a couple of shop lights with warm and cool lights. I can grow my orchids in it. They bloom like crazy now. Typically the biggest issue with bring in plants is the lack of humidity(in your area-during the winter). If you have a humidifier, put it near the plants and keep them moist(but not wet)

Mine is on the list of ok words! ya see mine was not a 4 letter word! Oct - May the "S" word is off limits for detectorists!

Thanks J....I have a humifier on the furnace ductwork...it's rather new and Cliff turns it on and off, but whether there is enough moisture in the living and family rooms where the palms are, I don't know! The flowers in the garage will probably freeze, but the plastic pots shouldn't freeze or crack, I hope! I bought all the pots new this year and I'm trying to keep them looking good for the Cuba, MO home next spring and summer! :)

God Bless!

The wind was very cold here also, but the tree cutters were taking down a big Oak tree and guess they stayed in the tree okay, as they got it cut down and the top was just starting to get a pretty color! Boo Hoo! Oh well, there are more trees that haven't been cut and one was trimmed, so we still have some of God's beauty to view and enjoy! :)

God Bless!
