I checked out another potential site today and bam.... right off the bat I started finding cleaners! I was excited as it looked like my research had paid off but alas... it was not to be. These were all that was found and all of this was found in a 20 foot circle. I thought I had found a nice button but I'm not sure as this round flat object is kinda heavy for a button though it does have some gilt in the circles on the back. No bm and the front is blank. I searched for several hours and only found the small balls and modern bullet. I'm betting that a soldier dumped his wet cartridges here. Oh well, it was fun and I got a thrill digging 'em! HH!

Very nice!!! We don't find that many cleaners around here. Soldiers hated to fire them because the zinc part expanded quickly and made the gun kick like a mule. Many were discarded but I bet some soldiers were killed by cleaner bullets during the war. WTG!!!

good finds, and a good hunt too. it looks like you might have found a rosette of some kind. that's a nice pile of lead there, brnn53! hit it again! hh,

Looks like a pretty good hunt, any day that produces a hand full of lead is great! Much better than a couple of shotgun shells...

Hey Mike do you think the disc could be a Colonial rosette?

Great sites you have up there! Keep at 'em!
