And even when anyone or a nation repented they would clothe themselves and even the animals in sackcloths and ashes! Clothing has a lot of meaning for different generations....just look at the present teenagers and young people how they dress with all their piercings, tattoos and with underclothing or their bare bottoms showing....this is how they claim their rights in a changing world until coming to their senses in our Lord Jesus as their own personal Savior and Lord! During my school years, the girls began wearing pants and our parents claimed in agony, that our generation was going to Hell in a hand-basket! Now, look at how even many of the adults dress....all kinds of shorts, half-naked, long and tight or baggy pants and in any old way they want to....some look so ridiculous with their overweight flab sticking out or stuffed in tight clothing that you wonder where their brains are or if they have any or mirrors to see themselves in...even more and more are dressing this way when attending church and look like they are going to a ball game! Oh my, I guess God will get each one's attention in due time, like he did mine! We need to honor and respect Jesus and others by acting and dressing properly! Amen! Ma Betty
