more gold & silver from the tot lots

hi all hit the tot lots today the $$$ count was down $14.35 in 43 coins i also found a 9k lock bracelet & a gold plate 925 silver lock bracelet + a 1937 coronation medal witch was a surprise.

yeah Mick this is my best week for finding gold in the tot lots & my third best gold week ever. the madallion is the third of this type i"v found and by far the best the other two i found wile hunting for predecimal coins and are not in very good nick. it sounds like your having a good week to.

lazyaussie where do you hang your hat? i have hunted just about every tot lots in cairns nth queensland and i also search up to three metres around the outside of the lots.i have found a lot of goodies but not on the same scale as your finds.you gotta be in a big city somewhere hmmm!! what type of detector are you using? blowfly hh

hi Blowfly & Aussie Chris i"m in Melbourne SE side and use the ace 250 for tot lots, a explorer II for the predecimals & beach and a whites beach hunter ID for the water.
Aussie Chris your a legend some of the posts you"v made on the other forum are epic. we"ll have to do a hunt together at some stage ???

i own a ace 250 that i used to hunt with until it started playing up . i now hunt tot lots with a tesoro compadre and do the beachs and parks with the vaquero. the vaquero is great for hunting at night on the beachs and parks especially if it's raining up here.i put a small plastic bag over the control box once i've set up and away i go. idon't have to look at the controls again until i'm ready to go home, to switch off.it was a cool 23 c degrees on the beach last night,you just have to watch out for passion pits and sleeping lizards. blowfly hh

sounds like you"v got a nice spot up there Blowfly. there"d be plenty of gold up there with all the tourists knocking around. i"v got an uncle up in cairns & he"s got a mate who detects in the water at the beach apparently he"s got a 20ltr bucket full of jewellery!!!!
