More gold today

Went back to the park today and found a golld chain & heart locket, and shortly after near a playground found a gold bracelet. The Tid's were all over so I had to check them out. I was really surprised to find gold items two days in a row. Just never happened before. I think the bracelet is gold plated cause I don' t see a stamp. I need to get them home and clean them off. Just maybe I am starting to get tuned into this thing. So found around 4.50 in clad. One pocket spill had 5 quarters one nickel and one dime.

You are on a roll with the gold! Seems like these types of items aren't ever really deep, but are very hard to find nonetheless :detecting:

Yep and the dickens to get out of the roots and remain intact. This is a real old park here in Salt Lake City. The bones have been picked clean, although I ecked out a 1908 barber dime and 1903 Indian head just before I bought the used Deus. I know there is silver still here but keep digging those darn beaver tails and nails. Surprising how deep they manage to go.

Well done! I was wondering why I was finding only pennies and nickles here in Canada till I did a bunch of air testing and found the TID for modern CAD clad is all over the place. Bounces and jumps all over. (When I started out I was only digging solid repeatable tones like all the books and posts say.) Now I am learning the sound the 1 and 2 dollar coins are starting to roll in. Good for gas money! And to justify my new XP too!

Not 100% certain but as i understand it some of the modern Canadian coins have iron cores in them,so that could account for misleading the Deus, the machine is picking up on the iron cores and showing them as junk. Not exactly sure which of your coinage has these iron cores but odds on favourite that is what the problem is.
