More jewelry found! E-trac locks on!

After looking for jewelry and not finding too much recently.....Ive been doing pretty well with these finds in the last 2 weeks. E-trac, I think is much better at locking on than the SE. Always my numbers are around 12-20, 12-26 and no boucing around. If it bounces, its trash. I expected more boucing but as of yet...little to see. I even double check targets and check deeper ones to make sure....again, if it bounces around...its generally a pull tab. Deep targets and shallow ones tend to be the same. One of several reasons why I really enjoy the E trac!

10k 14k 18ktgf 925 &....not sure

I have to politely disagree that if it bounces around it is trash. I have dug 100's of bouncy iffy signals that were deep targets mixed with iron. And DEEP nickels are never solid signals. Solid signals are a rare thing at the old houses I hunt at.

Oh I have to agree with you! I have heard of what you say and think it happens but Im talking about gold and in my area...Your area could be and probably is different. Im not saying that it Never bounces...just the majority of the time....it LOCKs on...as I said. When I get a Lock....I always know its something good...generally speaking. Too many detectors...Ive used, bounce way too much for my liking....just my preference.

Awesome finds JB,

I agree with G4ever but I also agree with the fact that the soil is different in different areas. I also have dug many broke or iffy signals that were well worth the dig. On the other hand, I have also dug many targets that weren't worth the wet knees to dig. It all boils down too whether or not you want to trust what you feel or see what mother earth is holding. "I choose to dig".

Oh yes, I agree! when in doubt .....dig! but Im just saying that Im having good luck with the etrac and its mostly trouble free performance and accuracy. Again, not to say it never bounces....just most of time for me...it doesnt seem too!

I agree completely. I keep digging bouncing targets thinking rings, but it is always pulltabs or other trash. If it locks on and doesn't bounce it is usually is good.
