I think I mentioned the sudden appearance of winged insects in the hotel (down in the laundry room and coming out of the walls). Finally the exterminator came, said they are flying ants and went around the building spraying. He mentioned to the desk clerk that he thought problems he saw before would have changed...not sure what problems. Within an hour of his departure, the arrival of the health inspector. Last I heard was he was temporarily closing our kitchen down and maybe the bar. He is also the one who checks the pool so I know that is ok as I am the one who cares for it.
With the few things the inspector had shown me I figured I'd be called in to work for several days in a row starting last night or this morning...neither happened. I wonder in his looking around he found fire hazards the fire marshal should know about. I didn't stick around. I had already put in an extra 1 1/2 hours over my scheduled time that day. Still no word. Everytime I hear sirens I wonder if my job might have gone up in smoke. Maybe all this is to say 'there will be no group coming to the hotel'.
If the hotel doors are locked down I sure can understand.
