Went back to Cass lake in Pontiac with one of my friends. Used two tanks. That was enough. Water is still a bit cold. Total for today,
4 silver Washingtons, 3 mercs, one silver Rosey ,and 2 wheats. One Sterling ring and one 14K mans ring. Two Zippo lighters and one key.
2.02 in clad. Oh and some big items today. A pickaxe and a boat anchor. I just had to drag them in!! The ring weighs 8.7 grams.
Cass lake has some very huge shallow spots. people used to wade out in the old days. On one of the drop-offs there are barrels full of cement that held down swim platforms in the 30-s and 40's. This lake's detecting area is bigger than a lot of parks. I could never get it all. I didn't even dive in water over my head today. Just stayed in the shallows. Water is Gin clear and is very cool still. Lots of friendly bass in this lake. Mostly small mouth that I see but a few largemouth. I also found a few fishing lures and another dive weight. Lots and lots of propeller pieces from them hitting the rocks!! The slimy things ring up as silver or gold and have to be dug.
One day I will have a camera with me and get a few pictures of the bottom of this lake. Great place to play.
