..At this party, there was beer, and wine coolers....I decided I was going to have a beer(just1);and I announced to everybody"IM HAVING A BEER-MY WIFE'S DRIVING HOME!!"...As soon as I said that,I realized how crude that must have sounded coming from the mouth of a church Council member...SO:What did I do??I put the beer back;and grabbed a Vernors instead...My wife asked me later "why didn tyou drink that beer??I would have been glad to drive home"...I told her I just got the feeling drinking that beer was not right;I drove;and I didnt expect my wife to have to drive cause of me drinking(My mother had to do just that for my dad more than once)..One of my nephews was there;and he was into the brew heavily;and I think he thinks I put that beer back because Im hen-pecked.He said"ONE BEER?? THAT AINT GONNA HURT NOTHING!!"....No-its MUCH deeper than anything like that...I guess I didnt want my sister to think I was just there for the beer......Have you ever been to a party where there is at least one person thats had too much to drink;and they are an obnoxious arsehole??That was me at one time-Thank the LORD some lessons stick with you....

PRAISE BE TO YOU WARTHOG!
It takes a wise man to listen to the Holy Spirit. Great job Warthog! You were right in choosing something else. People have a tendency to be judgemental, I know I do at times even though it is a sin, and think to themselves "Those christians are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites!"
I walked that route for nearly 40 years because of PTSD. Praise the Lord, He touch me and took the craving for alcohol away.

Good going, Warthog! Remember, one drink can lead to another and also give your relatives and friends something to talk about in your being a Christian! Give heed to the Holy Spirit and show the others the way to Jesus and His love! Congrats on staying away from the beer, booze or whatever!
:clapping: ;angel:

God Bless!
