More on the Pioneer 505

I have been using my 505 more because I read such wonderful things about it. For sure, in all metal mode it does find deeper targets. I kept digging ring type pull tabs and kept cranking up the discrimination to eliminate them to the point it was sometimes missing zinc pennies. The dial was at about the 3:30 position. The ID said the tabs were in the copper penny range. My Elite 2200 never makes that error.

Also, because the 505 is so heavy, my right arm now looks like Popeye's right arm and people are giving me funny looks.

I have the Sharp Shooter II, my ID can be off somewhat too. I've been looking at the 505s...how's the "depth" meter working out for ya? Is it as loose as the ID?
