Hi Elton, one of the features I like most about the Omega is it's weight (or lack of it). It's a physical (injury) thing with me. I have not used the T2 or the F 75 for the simple reason that both those machines are just slightly too heavy for me to use for any length of time. Consequently, I find that my results with the Omega are great, for a couple of reasons: I can swing it comfortably for extended periods of time, which is great; It is a really good machine on metals from gold to silver & copper. Now, because I haven't used the other machines at all, I'm not in a position to compare the Omega with them, but I can say it compares very well with any other machine I have used, which includes Minelab Explorer II and Sovereign GT. It may not get the depth of those lastmentioned machines, but I cant say for sure because I did not have them when I got my Omega. My Omega goes plenty deep enough for me in the places that I hunt, which is mostly parks, sports fields and old showgrounds and racecourses. Once you get something that is 4 to 5 inches deep or more, then the visual ID may not be as accurate as it is at, say 2", but I get enough information to dig the target, and I have got plenty of targets that others have missed.
I know some people like to put their sensitivity on full, and I am not about to criticize anyone else for their style of hunting, but I have found with the Omega (as with most of my machines) that lowering the sensitivity to about half or just below half can make for a very productive hunt in places like parks etc where there is usually a fair amount of trash. If I am hunting at an area where there is little trash and I am hopeful of deeper targets, I turn my sensitivity right up.
I mainly hunt in d2 mode, but in some areas I find d4 more suitable. If hunting in all metal I use A2. I find that in trashy areas (as well as other areas, as with most machines) controlling your swing speed is important, and slowing right down in trashy areas with be of benefit.
Cant think of any more I can tell at the moment.....holler if you need help, someone will answer. I've had my Omega since January 2010, and I now use it more than any other machine...I like it and it finds stuff. Just get out there and use it...dont worry about other machines, you have a very good one indeed. HH
