More Silver for the Deus

I've been hunting in an area that seems, for the most part, to produce turn of the century and newer silver, but it does so consistently; that's why I like it. Rarely shown in my photos are the piles of wheat pennies I turn up. Unless there's a key date to show you, I just wash 'em off and store them up. Tokens and wheaties are the only things that I sell. A month ago I tumbled and sold a little over $11 worth of wheat pennies for $50 on Craigslist.

For this hunt I was using 12Khz, with GB 81, Ground notch 86-90, Notch 7-25, Disc 6 , Full tones, Sens 88, TX-2, React 2 Silencer -1, Iron Volume 1 and Audio Response 3. All finds ranged from 3 to 6 inches in dry soil. I've had the Deus since May and I can't complain about the steady stream of silver I've been fortunate to bring home this year. The SLQ is a 1917S Variety 1 (no stars on reverse). I'll be back at it tomorrow, but the days will become much colder soon...In order to scratch my detecting itch this winter, I may have to visit one of you warm weather hunters :)

Nice finds! Snowing and rainging out right now...UGGHH.Im dropping the boy off at school, throwing the deus controler in my pocket and heading to the field!I will be heading south with you looking to dig somewhere warm . HH

Fantastic finds Beep! That SLQ is definitely a beauty! Wheats need love too! HAHA just kidding!

Going out tonight for a moonlight hunt and try to pull some deepies at one of the vacant lots in town...may get lucky and pick a Barber!
