More silver with the Omega

Well I still haven't managed to pull a silver coin as of yet but I am still finding silver. I pulled a silver necklace with a plated pendant with what appears to be a real pearl (tooth test) the tiny ring is also silver. the bigger one is junk. The dragon sword pendant is pretty cool although it is bent up pretty good, I think I will try to anneal it and bend it back straight. The spark plug gap per will go into my tool chest. All found Monday in my "hunted out park" oldest penny of the day was 1960.

Tuesday at the lake I found a fiver stuck in the mud, not a metal detector find but wouldn't have seen it if I wasn't detecting, plus some change and fishing lure pieces.

Wednesday back at the park I pulled yet another live round, this time a 7.62x39. Worked the parking strip over pretty good pulling coins right and left.

Thursday netted another handful of clad from the park, and a 1958D wheatie in great shape.

Friday I got out to the lake about 5 and spent about two hours working over a popular swimming spot, lots of good signals and barely any trash at all. I did have a weird thing happen with the tid in this area, everything was coming in high, nickels were coming in in the low 80's and the pennies in the high 80's quarters were 96-97. The only thing I noticed was different the fe meter was showing 3 and 4 bars, high iron oxide mud I think. But I managed to make quota with 53 coins, I thought the earring was silver until I washed it and the silver flaked off. I also found a pair of glasses and a bicycle on the surface.

Ended up working on the garage yesterday and getting ready to go cut some firewood today. Hope you enjoyed the pics, finally got a little rain here on Friday so looking forward to hitting some spots I have set up with a good possibility of silver coinage.

Lots of good finds. Ground fines count, so add the five dollar bill to your totals. Like you said, if you weren't detecting you wouldn't have found it. I like the blue/silver dime, I wonder why someone thought they needed that.

Good hunting. Nice clad count and good job on the silver jewelry. Good variety of finds. Silver coins are in your future. HH jim tn

The blue /silver dime was recent drop that got wacked by the lawnmower at the park, it has a nice crease and a ding in the top edge, the color change is just the angle of reflectance.

I don't figure I'm doing too badly I have only been detecting for about two months now, I have a pile of pennies and a good sized handful of silver change and so far 7 rings, 2 silver 1 gold and 4 junkers. I guess I just haven't gotten my coil over any silver coins so far. To be fair the park that I am doing most of my detecting has been worked over repeatedly, I have been told several times that there is nothing left and its hunted out, but I still have pulled 3 Wheaties so I am hoping there might be some masked silver in there somewhere. I have covered about half the park so far and pulled about 10$ in clad as well as the silver jewelry. Still driving me nuts not finding a silver coin yet. Thanks for the replies Guys :)
